Hubblecast
I found a very interesting podcast on iTunes...
Hubblecast HD
the Description states "The latest news about astronomy, space, and the NASA/ESA Hubble Space Telescope presented in High Definition"
if you are at all into what is going on is space this is the place for us!
there are so many podcasts to choose from I would suggest starting off with epsisode #50 "Hubble's History Told by Hubble's Scientists"
I found episode #49 "Unweaving the Rainbow" to be really informative. The video explains & shows how Hubble scientists look at the colors they observe and turn it into graphs and numbers that can be studied.
This page has everything from the study of black holes to changes in distant planets as well as the incredible photos and information about our own galaxy and solar system.
If you are interested in the "Final Frontier" check it out...

good/bad compression
Here is an example of bad compression. Tony Yayo's video for "I know You Don't Love Me" is very creative and entertaining but as you can see the video is a lil' older & it looks terrible when you expand it...
The 2nd video has really good compression. This song is much newer and you can really tell there is better technology now. Here is M.I.A.'s video for "Bad Girls".
so the lesson here is to make sure the video is compressed correctly. You can shoot a video with the latest camera and sound but if you don't compress it correctly it won't look nearly as good as it should.

Occult World of Commerce
Perhaps the most interesting video I have ever seen is Jordan Maxwell and Jason Whitney's "Occult World of Commerce". Any person that watches this video I hope would be blown away by the information shared in this presentation. This video begins to explain OUR world of commerce and the laws that it & we follow in our everyday lives without having a clue of what is going on.

creative use of video on a web site
I found a very creative use of video at www.TomatoJaws.com. The site is Russian I believe so it is a bit different to begin with. Each page has a different background that is almost like a big moving .gif. The video background for a site is just never something I have thought of doing until now. This site has a very modern "weird" look that I really like.
in these 2 screenshots the girl in the background is moving just a bit for a very original look.

Quentin Tarantino
Quentin Tarantino is a film director, screenwriter, producer and sometimes even an actor in his movies. He is well known for his films Pulp Fiction, Resevoir Dogs, Kill Bill Volumes 1 & 2, Inglorious Bastards & his latest hit Django. Tarantino is a very good screenwriter and wrote one of my favorite movies ever Oliver Stone's Natural Born Killers. He dropped out of school in 9th grade and ended up working at a video store for five years. He got the job initially because he was an expert on movies and in the five years he worked there he watched as many different movies as he could. He considers this time in his life as his "college" and this education helped shape what types of films he wanted make. I like that fact that he is such a fan of Hollywood and how much he is into the traditional form of movie making shooting on to film. Last year in Video Production class we made a commercial for Scarecrow Video (one of the last big video stores in Seattle) in the U-District and the owner of the store said that Tarantino walked all the way from downtown Seattle to wonder around his store for several hours. When asked in interviews about different movies or directors his answers reflect that he has a great respect and admiration for all of the great people of movies that have come before him or are great now and even many of those that I have never heard of. I think that his style of writing and shooting are very different than most directors and writers. His way of shocking the viewer with outragous writing or scenes brings a weird type of harsh reality to his movies that other movie makers just don't deliver.
Here is a link to a trailer of perhaps his most popular film "Pulp Fiction" :

my favorite sites on the www.
Besides Angel, Facebook and Hotmail there are a couple of web sites I look at every day that cover my favorite subjects... WA State High School Football, H1 Unlimited Hydroplanes & Western Esoteric Studies.
The 1st site is called Northwest Elite Index. http://www.northwesteliteindex.com/
I fell in love with this site because they were the 1st to mention my son who is a QB that starts as a Freshman on the Varsity Team @ Juanita High School. The article they did on him is very good and so are the articles they write on all of the kids they post about. The site really covers who is doing what and who is really good in WA and OR high school football. The thing that really sets them apart is the writers also put on the best elite football clinics in the Northwest so they really have a pulse on who the good players and teams are in the area. If you are interested to know who is doing in what in WA State High School Football this is the best place to look. If you have a kid who plays football and is a good player get a hold of these guys!
The 2nd site that I look at all of the time is a site my Dad helps run. http://www.h1unlimited.com/
His name is Steve Montgomery and he is the announcing "voice" for H1 Unlimited Hydroplanes. He also makes the posts for their site and I like to see what he is up to. I would look at the site anyway if not for him because it is the best and one of the only places to get fresh information about the sport of Unlimited Hydroplanes Racing. The site is packed with everything Hydroplanes and the H1 series. The front page is all links to race info, teams, stories, photos and anything else you would need to find out about the world's fastest race boats!
The 3rd site is perhaps my favorite site ever, packed with so much information and study it would take a life time to go through every link. http://www.jordanmaxwell.com/
Jordan Maxwell is a researcher who is a "preeminent Scholar and Lecturer in the fields of Secret Societies, Occult Philosophies and UFO-ology since 1959." I got to know Jordan very well in 2006 and have followed his work closely ever since. He is best known for his work with symbols and what they mean and if you take a closer look the his work it will blow you away. His site is so packed with information it'll make your head spin. Not only does it feature a lot of his work but he has also made it easier for people to do their own study with links and ideas of where to search for information about many different subjects. If you want to take the "Red Pill" and tumble down the ol' rabbit hole I suggest checking out Jordan's site.

I AM BRIAN
My name is Brian Montgomery! I am 38 years old but I don't look it at all. I am married and we have 3 children all boys ages 15, 12 & 2. I grew up in Renton, WA and attended Hazen High School. I have taken classes at Bellevue Community College, Edmonds Community College, Seattle Central Community College and now I am actually doing really good at Lake Washington Institute of Technology. I am in the Multimedia Design and Production program learning a lot about Video and Web Production. From my very first editing class I really fell in love with the process of puting a video together. I am excited to be able to shoot my own documentaries and narratives and I hope to make a living with the skills I am learning here. I am in the right place at the right time. The instructors here have taught me so much in just over a year it has truly transformed my life. I have also learned a lot from my fellow students, I am really glad I have been able to work with and get to know some very talented individuals. This semester I am very excited to be taking Advanced Video Production, Digital Content Delivery and Motion Graphics. With these 3 classes under my belt I will really be ready to create some great looking video and deliver it where I want to.
I have had countless jobs and I have started a few companies that all taught me a lot. A major problem I have always had in business especially as the internet has taken over is the need to hire video, graphic design or computer people. I have spent so much money as well has not had the money to create web sites, logos and shoot videos or still shots etc etc... All of the graphics people and computer people I had worked with and paid money too never did deliver what I was looking for. When we would say we want a coporate looking clean site we would usually get back moving rainbows, bells and whistles. It is very frustrating to not get that certain look and image you want for your company as you fly through these different computer people that someone suggested to you. There are times in my life that if I had just the skills I have learned in the past year at LWIT I would have been so much more successfull in that endeavor. Every single business needs to have a some kind of brand and project an image. In the Video and Web Production Program @ LWIT we are learning many different ways to accomplish that. I feel that what I am learning here will make me a one man wrecking crew. I am truly excited about my future and I am very much looking forward to applying all I have learned to begin creating a strong body of work in 2013.
